Yoga for Carers
Boost Wellbeing and Stockport MIND, with funding from Sport England, are sponsoring free yoga classes on Monday afternoons for carers.
Our fifth Carers series is six weeks long and will be running between 8 January and 12 February 2024. It is open to all carers living or working in the borough of Stockport. You do not need to be caring for someone with a mental health condition to attend this series.
🤍
The physical practice is based on a mat and can also be done on a chair - so it is accessible for a wide range of people. The poses will all have multiple levels so that there are options for everyone, and also that you can see progression over the series.
🤍
Over the six week course you will learn breathing practices which develop week-by-week. By the end of the series you will have developed several different breathing techniques which you can take away with you as part of your yoga toolkit.
🤍
The yoga classes will be offered in person at our studio and also online via Zoom. You don’t need to have any previous experience of yoga to take part.
